In continuation of my Despatch

No. 262 of the 10th. ultimo, I have the honour to transmit

the enclosed copy of a letter from the Registrar of the

Supreme Court covering an application from Mr. J. W.

Lee-

Jones, Deputy Registrar, to rank next after the Registrar

in the event of Mr. Kemp being promoted to the Sanitary

Department, together with a minute by the Chief Justice on

the subject.
